If you look at the cover of Teen Vogue, it seems rather normal. Like a magazine for teenagers who like to stay ahead in the fashion game. Wrong. Unless you are a celebrity who has nothing else to do except buy ridiculously priced hideous clothing, this magazine is NOT FOR YOU.
The brand names they advertise in the front of the magazine are usually: Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, UGGs, H&M, Burberry, and Juicy Couture. Catch my drift?
Now, take a look at some of the "High Fashion" clothing they display:

Would you pay $700.00 to look like one of these people? I didn't think so.
Now, I'm not saying everything is hideous. But most of it is. And if you actually find something you like, it is most likely from Marc Jacobs or a rare Swedish designer that nobody has ever seen.
And people have written to the magazine telling them that their clothes are too high priced, and they reply saying " Check out our February issue, it is dedicated to fun fashion at affordable prices." Excuse me? Shouldn't ALL the fashion be affordable?! What is the point of displaying a $375.00 Marc Jacobs hat if they know that normal teenagers cannot even dream of affording such a thing.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but who wants to wear 4 layers of mix-matched over-sized plaid men's shirts??!?
And what is with the models these days!? Are they genetically engineered to be incapable of happiness?! They all look like they are going to kill somebody with their suede purses.

But go ahead if you want, buy some clothes and accessories that don't match at all. Get some platform shoes and wear them with ruffly mustard colored socks. Be my guest, because I will be there laughing at you.
If they did intend for this to be "high fashion, runway model, and celebrity priced" they should rename the magazine, because "Teen Vogue" makes it sound like its for teenagers.
Seventeen, on the other hand, has great priced clothes and helps you find unique (but still normal) clothes.
Don't fall for the trick.
